Let's Get Physical

Alright so eating 1,600 calories a day while going to the gym 5 days a week didn't work out too well for me soo...

I’m going on a diet.

Not to lose weight, so please don’t lecture me on how I don’t need to do any of this. I just want to improve my health, so my new private boot camp begins today starting with the following.

Nutritional Guidelines:
Consumption of all carbonated drinks shall be limited to one per two week period (not to exceed sixteen ounces per drink).

Fast food shall be limited to one combo meal (example: cheeseburger + fries + medium drink) per two week period. Should the drink included with the meal be carbonated, it shall be calculated against the limit referenced above.
Drink at least three liters of water per day.
Have at least two servings of fruit per day.

Breakfast shall consist of one of the following or equivalent:
One bagel with two teaspoons of cream cheese

One yogurt
One individual package of instant oatmeal
One egg (scrambled), two pieces of wheat or sourdough toast, two pieces of bacon and breakfast potatoes

Lunch shall consist of one of the following or equivalent:
Grilled chicken caesar salad
A sandwich (roast beef, turkey with Swiss cheese, tuna, or peanut butter and honey)
Baked potato and one cup of soup
One cup of white rice, steamed vegetables and teriyaki chicken

Guidelines for dinner purposely left unrestricted

Snacks shall be limited to twice per day and limited to the following only:
One Nabisco 100 Calorie pack
Fresh fruit
Baby carrots
One cereal bar
One individual portioned bag of lightly buttered popcorn

Physical Fitness:
No less than two hours of cardio exercise per week.
No less than two hours of weight training per week.
No less than five hours of yoga per week.
Utilize stairs instead of the elevator or escalator when opportunity permits.

Hopefully I will be faithful in keeping these guidelines. Luckily for me my mom, Kiel, Brady and a few of my co-workers are trying to be just as health conscious, so my plan to live healthier shouldn’t be too hard to follow through with knowing they're trying to endure the same thing that I am. I’m not going to be TOO neurotic about all of this, like if I have a week where I am not able to stick to my guidelines, I won’t have a mental breakdown. I’m just trying to break my unhealthy eating habits so that I’ll feel in shape. And of course the list of foods are not the ONLY things I’m allowing myself to eat, I just wanted to give everyone an idea of what foods I am staying away from, and which foods I am aiming to ingest from now on and hopefully you'll be around to remind me when I am facing the temptation of a warm chocolate lava cake.... Mm.... My mouth literally just watered.
